About
Dr. Prashant Mehta is a medical oncologist and bone marrow transplant physician at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, and Program Head for lymphoid leukaemias, lymphomas, BMT and CAR T and cellular therapy, haploidentical transplants, thoracic and gynae oncology, sarcoma, melanoma and childhood cancers.
He took his DM fellowship in medical oncology and BMT at AIIMS, New Delhi, and is an alumnus of Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, where he received the Meghna Krishna Baweja award for all-round excellence. Amrita credits him with the first bone marrow transplant, the first total body irradiation based transplant and the first matched unrelated donor transplant in the Faridabad region.
He has been principal investigator on more than 20 clinical trials and has more than 60 publications and book chapters, and is joint editor and web editor of the national oncology journal IJMPO. He is a founder member of the Science and Cost association, which works on improving access to cancer care in India.
